Senator Edward Kennedy
had successful brain surgery today to remove the malignant tumor that had caused his seizures. A sizable portion of his brain was removed, however, doctors said they could not remove any more brain material for fear of his being mistaken for Dubya. Or not.

No actual surprises were harmed in the production of this thread.
Suitguy is not bitter.
feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive
The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

Not the same thing you guys did after Bill Clinton went out, which was to keep hauling Bill out and making fun of him every time something remotely critical of Bush was said.flockofseagulls104 wrote: No, I was not surprised that you were not surprised that I was surprised. We'll be so relieved we'll start right in on cleaning up the mess and try to forget Bush as soon as possible.

Nyah Nyah, Nyah Nyah Nyah.
I hope Ted gets better, but has to resign the Senate. He deserves to enjoy the rest of his life and let the other Democrats and the majority of Republicans screw up the country. He's done enough.

Well, for that to happen, someone besides McCain would have to win. And that just won't happen, unless Hillary get the nomination, but the DNC is so out of touch with reality right now, I don't see that happening.
..what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms.
