I request that you have an avatar.
I do not care what it is, just that there be one.
I have a suggestion and I suspect marley will reject it and that is fine.
Here is my suggestion:

As 1/5 of the transcript team, I like it and vote that we use it.

Here is my suggestion:
I reject it (and any other animated avatar) on principle.
Just as Pea expects me to.

Although, earendel pointed to something I didn't see. You can vote no, but you can't reject it. You are 1/5th of the total.
Again - I don't care what avatar you use, as a team. I just ask that you use one.

Evidently the link to your animated avatar didn't come through in the quote. I was referring to yours, because I think it's perfect, especially for me.

Where does it say that in the BBTranscriptTeam constitution? Perhaps we're like permanent members of the UN Security Council, each with veto power.
We could agree on one avatar (the WWTBAM logo comes to my mind), we could agree not to have any avatar, or we could squabble and keep changing it every time one of us logs in with that handle.

I'd agree to using the BAM logo. I'm a very easygoing kind of guy. But I would
not be in favor of a rotating avatar based on whoever is posting the transcripts.

That would be very appropriate, considering he's the patron saint of transcriptionists.

I don't care if we use one or not, but if we do, I need help on how to add it because I still have not figured out how to use one--and this after reading the avatar help post many times. Yes, thank you very much, I am an idiot or something close to it.

Once it's been added, it will be there for anyone using the BBTranscriptTeam login.

I can do avatars, but I can't add images to the message body. I'm not even on the transcript team, but just wanted to add I'm glad it looks like the old bored is back.

I would vote for Pea's animated one, it's cool, but the WWTBAM one is also OK with me.
For the time being I'll vote for a reliable VCR and cable box as apparently due to DST glitches I taped 30 minutes of a blank screen today. Tomorrow is my transcript day.

How about if someone do something - anything - to get an avatar up there and let the switching begin?

And here I was expecting a monk toiling over an illuminated manuscript, since Marley did it...
Very nice. Now you're properly dressed.

Couldn't resist--Erin's been into Monsters, Inc. lately, and of course I adore Roz.
There's a Monsters ride in California Adventure (Stephen said it's where their old Play-It! was...), and at the end Roz is standing there. Someone must be watching through a camera, and Roz will let out personalized wisecracks. Both times I went with Stephen, she called him "Young Lady" in reference to his collar-length hair. I hope he was amused...
