The story of FSIL's leave approval has become confusing, at least to me. If I understood BD's explanation, because his particular approval has to go to the colonel in charge and not just his superior officer (the "why" of this is uncertain), he has to wait for everyone else to ask for their leave as a "block"(?) before he can get his. The wait is until the end of June. I have no idea what this means, other than it seems he won't know if he can get to the wedding until less than six weeks before it. I have asked BD to get more details before I start worrying seriously about it.
BD is off tonight to stay overnight with her MoH and a bridesmaid out in western MA. A cousin of mine is also having a graduation party for his daughter tomorrow. Fortunately, his house is less than ten miles from the MoH. We drive for two hours tomorrow, she does it mostly tonight. But then, GW and I are home alone for the evening.

MotG called last night and spoke with GW. A goodly number of FSIL's family is planning to come. We are pleased. We were concerned that my family would seriously outnumber his. The numbers will still favor the bride's side, but not by as much as we feared. We'll still win the game of Red Rover, though.
