Yikes!

The video of the big tornado north of Denver is scary! Sis and family are okay.

Yikes is right! Fortunately my family live south.

That's good. It's headed north into Wyoming (the system that is, the tornado has dissipated, at least for now).

Uh oh! I'm sorry to hear this, but glad to hear that your people are ok. I'll go read about it now and say some prayers for those affected.

I had a long post started last night after reading that Sprots was going camping in possibly inclement weather. I wanted to warn her about the terrible storm that had just come through here late Tuesday night. I didn't end up going to a weather site to see where the jet stream was headed. I was grumbling (ok, it was more than grumbling) about how we just bought a lot (60 cu yds) of dirt for our yard, and then this storm blew quite a lot of it away. I was complaining about not only having to pay for dirt, but then having to watch it blow away.

It puts it into perspective that perhaps I should be happier about not having something serious happen, rather than complaining about the price of dirt.

I know it's not the same, but we had a violent hail storm this afternoon. Naturally it hit when I was walking from my car to Emma's school, with a big paper bag full of paper towels and cleaning supplies. I got soaked and had pea-sized hail in my hair.

That was a very kind thing to post -- thanks!!

We've pretty much decided not to go. If it completely cleared off, we might, but we have good info like yours to let us know that clearoff is probably Tuesday.
