Thank you, fellow Fish!

I just answered 12 Unanswered questions, got 10 of them right and moved from the 4,000s in the standings to the 700s!

Is that the way to get to the questions from now on?

That's what I've been having to do for a while.

You're welcome! Anything for a fellow no-footer. That's the way I've been doing it since the beginning. My e-mail links never worked, and then, of course, there was no e-mail at all. I started in mid-April and stayed in the four digits till the end of the month. At the beginning of May I was 70 (right next to silvercamaro) for about a nanosecond. I was 270 this morning. I'm Barbotte over there; Catfish was already taken.

Okay, I gave in and joined. Now I've gotta remember to go there to answer stuff. I did manage to get my first question right, even though I never watch the show involved.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

Do you still get any kind of answering or speed points if you miss the question, or is it just a nice goose egg and a 'better luck next time, chump'?

Today was YET ANOTHER geography question. I'm seriously considering changing my science exemption, even though today's geography was ridiculously easy.

The reason I ask is that, if you still get speed points for answering and the only difference is the 1k for getting it right, then I'm wondering if this would a good strategy:

If you have absolutely no or hardly any idea at all, it would be best just to click an answer as quickly as you can and submit it. You still have a 1 in 5 chance of getting it right and you'd at least get speed points, whereas you probably wouldn't get the 1k, anyway.

If a wrong answer only gets you what the little boy shot at, then it's best to spend the time and at least try to reason it out and give a logical or semi-educated guess.

You get nothing if you get the question wrong.

I've been having music questions lately. I got a nice question about Nine Inch Nails today. :)

Thanks, I'll keep trying to reason instead of just going for the speed. I got a music question today as well (thankfully not Nine Inch Nails). About time they started throwing me some bones after all the geography and world events questions.

All you need to remember is that Trent Reznor is the only member of Nine Inch Nails and you are set.

Oh, well that's easy enough. My music question today was about a song. I thought they would ask about songs or something and, if it wasn't the Johnny Cash stuff, I'd be sunk.

Trent Reznor = NIN I can deal with. Kind of like the other day when I groaned about seeing Geography yet again and it turned out to be a well known capital of a well known country. I burned a couple seconds just reading it again to find the catch.
