I always think previous game show appearances is a plus. They know you can handle the stress, the cameras and all that.

But ol' Reege and I have this special relationship, you know?
Different gig. Different network.
I think Regis will be avoiding any reference to that
other game show.
Which is not to say that they wouldn't take you as a contestant; they just wouldn't mention the other appearance.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Meredith and I do as well.
Oh!
Me and Dick Clark and me and Pat and Vanna too!
In my fantasies anyway.

They had an interview with Neil Patrick Harris, who made some funny joke about a game show that required skills other than being able to say a number or something like that. (He said it funnier, but I can't remember the exact).
I'd love to be on it if I got NPH as my partner. I love everything about him and I get the feeling that he might be the modern day Tony Randall of game show celebrities. (Old people will know what I'm talking about and nod their head while voicing grunts of recognition.)
I had the great luck of having Tony Randall as my partner on Pyramid. That guy was really great.
No way! I'm going to be the dorkiest dork that ever dorked and say that I'm all starry eyed now. Was he as sharp and put together and clever and all that and a bag of chips that he always seemed to be?

He was. This was in 1978, so he was even young then. He scared the crap out of me when he saw a stagehand smoking and said "That man is smoking!", while we were on air and starting to play the game.
It was at a time when people smoked everywhere and everyone was told that Tony was there and there was to be no smoking.
He and I got a perfect 21 and I won an extra $1,000. We also got the bottom row of the big board, missed the next one, got the next two and came back and could not get "Things with leaves".
He was the best Pyramid partner a girl could have.
