Made of Honor

#1 Post by kusch » Mon May 19, 2008 2:59 pm

Hard to admit, but I got bambozled into seeing this movie over the weekend.

Guess you might have to be female to get some of the inside MOH jokes.

While watching one of the scenes I did think of SC. There was a small and short scene of some Scottish dance--ok, maybe a Highland dance and I am sure that Highland and Scottish dance are two entirely different things.

If Cindy sees this, she can give us a definitive answer, but I think that Highland dance and Scottish dance are the same thing. Scottish dance is very much like Irish dance in soft ghillies. I don't think the Highlanders have a hard-shoe equivalent (think Riverdance,) but I may be wrong.

There certainly is far more similarity between Irish and Scottish dancing than, say, Irish dance and clogging. (Example pulled at random for absolutely no reason whatsoever.)

:)
