But I am exhausted.
On a bus at 5:30 this morning, home around 7:30pm. We mulched the area on the mall on Liberty Island. Our little group dispersed 3 pallets of mulch and we ran out of mulch before we ran out of time. There were a total of 15 groups doing different things.
Not that I need to explaint to ANYONE on the Bored but...
A couple of things from today, they said they have 4-5 full time people on Ellis and Liberty Island doing what we were today. We brought 300 for a days work. The superintendant said they couldn't thank us enough and our efforts were very tangible allowing the employees to do other things.
We were all given T-shirts to wear during the day identifying us as volunteers. Four park rangers took the time to personally thank my family for coming and volunteering our time.
A day well spent.
But I am exhausted![/i]
