We have a pile of wood chips and much less solid wood around the yard. FSIL helped out, which is good because I can barely move now. If we'd had to do this entirely ourselves, I would barely be able to twitch. Of course, his knee hurts where he injured it a month or two ago. He says it's okay because he needed to get it back into shape anyway.
News is that he is now a corporal, and if he can pass some sort of physical exam he will be promoted again from an E4 to an E5, or something like that. I hope the knee issue doesn't prevent that.
BD just shines when they're together. I don't know how else to describe it. As a parent, I can't ask for more. He goes back early tomorrow, so I predict a vegetative state for BD, to go with two very achy parents.
We will see the engagement photos Monday on the photographer's website. He and FSIL got along well, always a good thing when you're on good terms with the people who will be shoving cameras into your face during what's already a stressful day.
