March Madness Gets Madder
The NCAA announced that both the men's and women's basketball tournaments are expanding to 76 teams, effective this coming season. Twelve games between 24 teams will be played on the Tuesday and Wednesday before the men's tournament and Wednesday and Thursday before the women's tournament. Three men's games will be played in Dayton, OH both Tuesday and Wednesday and three other games in a to-be-determined western site to allow for more staggered starting times. Twelve of the teams in the play-in tournament will be 15 and 16 seeds, while the others will be the lowest at-large seeds of teams in the tournament (typically 11 and 12).
