Add Charlottesville to the Smollett list
I'm sure many here do not know, but the SPLC has been indicted on fraud charges, and in parts alleging they paid right wing extremists to plan and execute the Charlottesville Unit the Right protest.
I'm sure some here will deny it, choose not to believe it, whatever. But this continues the pattern of the left, creating the issues they accuse the right of.

Re: Add Charlottesville to the Smollett list
The SPLC has paid informants within right-wing hate groups for decades, resulting in some major convictions and civil judgments. What they have done is no different than what the FBI and almost every other law enforcement agency in this country has done for years: pay crooks to rat out other crooks. This is part of the DOJ attempt to go after organizations they don't like on bogus wire fraud charges. I'll be very surprised if this case survives a motion to dismiss.

First, they are not a law enforcement agency.silverscreenselect wrote: ↑Thu Apr 23, 2026 9:46 amThe SPLC has paid informants within right-wing hate groups for decades, resulting in some major convictions and civil judgments. Second, they are accused of actually paying to create the issues they claim to be against.
Third, is was right in that some here will deny it.

Come on, BIT. Have you heard of BlaKKKlansman? Civil rights groups have infiltrated white supremacist organizations for decades. Did the SPLC violate the law? Was it an inappropriate use of charitable donations? A court will decide. Not even Todd Blanche believes that SPLC was promoting Unite the Right.

This is catnip for the crowd who thinks the entire mob that ransacked the Capitol on 1/6 was FBI informants.
SCLC, it appears, paid to infiltrate these organizations. It doesn't explain why Richard Spencer or other known far right activists were there.
And since our FBI is run by a blackout drunk, this case will blow up, and you'll whistle and forget you ever said anything here.

Re: Add Charlottesville to the Smollett list
For years, the SPLC turned over information they received to various law enforcement agencies. The relationship soured when the Trump DOJ didn't like getting details about white supremacist groups committing various federal crimes.

Patel has filed a $250 million defamation suit against The Atlantic for publishing the article in question. Unfortunately for him, that subjects him to discovery, including what I'm sure will be a lengthy deposition regarding his imbibing and other activities.
Patel has also had another defamation lawsuit he filed against MSNOW and former FBI agent Frank Figliuzzi dismissed this week. Figliuzzi said that Patel had "been visible at nightclubs far more than he has been on the seventh floor of the Hoover building." The Court said that the statement was rhetorical hyberbole and not intended as a statement of fact. Patel referenced the now-dismissed Figliuzzi lawsuit in his suit against the Atlantic, saying that the magazine should have been aware of the possible consequences of making false statement.

Wow. this one touched a nerve.
I just pray every night that all you assholes on both sides that think the color of one's skin is something to fight about would just go the fuck away. It don't mean jack shit to us normal people going about our lives. It would be such a breath of fresh air not having you around.

I hope someday you will wake up and realize the democrat party is built on nothing but lies and deceit.
The only difference between them and the republican party is that it has a rational platform of values it ignores and does not live up to.

So, we're going after Kash Patel? Normal operating procedure... Let's hear his answer to the bullshit question...silverscreenselect wrote: ↑Thu Apr 23, 2026 10:34 amPatel has filed a $250 million defamation suit against The Atlantic for publishing the article in question. Back on the actual topic.... You want to defend a group that labeled TPUSA a hate group? Moms for Liberty? Ben Carson?
Why don't you read the actual indictment? If the allegations have merit, (which a grand jury seemed to believe) tell us all what is acceptable about this... If they had an 'informant' in the Charlottesville group, why was Charlottesville allowed to happen?
How about we sit back and see where it goes.

Kash Patel is the one who filed these defamation suits, one of which was thrown out by the court vary quickly. If he didn't want to sit for a deposition, he could have just kept to himself. And if he didn't want people questioning his drinking, he could have avoided public spectacles like this:flockofseagulls104 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 23, 2026 3:27 pmSo, we're going after Kash Patel? As for informants at Charlottesville, we don't know what information the SPLC may have passed on to various authorities. We do know that word got out very quickly to everyone except Flock that this demonstration was going to be an ugly white supremacist spectacle.
Also grand jury presentations often consist of summaries given by FBI agents. So, the testimony could well have been little more than what you see in the indictment, which certainly doesn't show anything like the hundreds of thousands of dollars supposedly paid to high up White supremacist leaders.

What about the other folks in the photo?
I know you Trump simps are easily led everywhere, but that guy is not even in the front.
The "party of personal responsibility" excuses any mob if one member is an informer.

Re: Add Charlottesville to the Smollett list
It seems to me that if this guy really did what Flock said and he was so easily identified that the other few hundred people in that picture wouldn't be too pleased about having an informant in their midst getting them in trouble. Seems like he might be headed on a long one-way trip to the Smoky Mountains.

My God. You guys are so deep into TDS, you can't even recognize obvious sarcasm. SSS, It is a fact that there was at least one guy who was paid by SPLC to be there. Maybe not the guy I circled at random, but he was there. They would only pay fine people, right. Your whole specious, dumb argument is down the drain. Trump was accurate.
I have heard something about this guy speaking out that SPLC told him exactly what to do. I will look for confirmation on that when have time.
You guys ought to get a life if you ever find a TDS cure.

It's most certainly, except in rare cases, a lifelong affliction, as is the tendency toward lunacy that accompanies it.flockofseagulls104 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 24, 2026 8:36 pmMy God. Real derangement is thinking that a very public incident that involved dozens upon dozens of people was all manufactured.

It’s almost like this has been litigated already!
But sure, the Trump administration has the secret figured out.
Funny how blackhole slurs that I am a drunk - when the real drunk runs the FBI leading this investigation.

Good luck with this case!
