Oddly, I was reminded in 2 instances yesterday about how much I enjoy writing (especially) land-related stuff. I will tell about the first instance in another post.
The second took place at local mechanic's customer appreciation supper and I had a nice long visit with somebody I don't get to see enough.
30 some years ago (late 90's)-I can't belive that it has been that long-I wrote a series of long editorials (essentially columns) on a controversial local issue and they were very well-received by a lot of people. So many people told me how much they enjoyed the way I wrote. I haven't really thought about that for awhile-but I was proud of them and that was really the first writing I ever did.
I don't count high school or college V1 in the late 80's, but I have been thinking about college V2 (2003-2006) and how much I enjoyed writing there-and being a Geography degree-most dealt at least tangentially with the land.
Then there were the appraisal years when I basically got to write a master's thesis every month on in-depth research into land. These were not simple basic appraisals-these involved real writing and my boss with extensive experience including doing appraisal reviews of others' also really liked the way I wrote.
I just need to figure out a way to write about the land and I am posting this for my benefit just to help me think about things more.
I Really Need to Find a Way to Write About the Land

I actually would not be surprised if I had posted about this in the past-as the thought recurs every once in awhile and it is really one of the only areas I can go in-depth with writing.

Just write it. A phrase. A snippet.
Write it down when you think of it. Carry a notebook and jot it down.
It's something you want to do because you love it. Don't overthink it.
