In a most Canadian way, all across Canada, for the 5 am (pacific) gold medal game, the provinces have all allowed licensed pubs and bars to be open AND serve libations.

There are watch parties at a couple of Philly institutions. McGIllin's, Billy Murphy's Saloonery. I think Murphy's in Roxborough.

Good on Canada for that.

Kenny Albert just said both teams were scheduled to fly to New York but will now go to Miami, because of the blizzard.

The US team had Johnny Gaudreau's jersey hanging up in the locker room. His death still resonates in the Philadelphia hockey community. His family is there today.

What a truly special tribute.
