Two from 24

On Nov 23, Fox will air a two-hour movie version of 24, which will be a standalone film with Kiefer Sutherland and company battling the usual bunch of evil doers, the only difference being that they wrap things up in two hours instead of 24.

The film will attempt to bridge the gap, both in real world and series time, between the end of the last season and the beginning of the next, which will feature a female president and the return of Tony Almeida, supposedly as a villain. 24 will begin airing its regular season after New Year's 2009.

Fox also announced a couple of other new series. In the fall, there will be Fringe from JJ Abrams, creator of Lost. A genius who has spent the last twenty years in the nuthouse gets out and goes around the country with his 20-something son trying to "confront the spread of powerful and unexplained phenomena." John Noble and Joshua Jackson star.

In the winter, after Sarah Connor finishes its run, Fox will trot out Dollhouse, from Joss Whedon, creator of Buffy. A bunch of babes including Eliza Dushku go around on top secret missions. The catch is that each week, they have their memories wiped clean and are given new ones. So the same character could be a doctor one week, a safecracker the next and a test pilot the next. Sort of a cross between Mission Impossible and a role playing game.

Sounds more like MI and The Impostor. Are they using a flashy thingy to change the memories?
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.
