If it were Phil Mickelson, you'd already have the tickets.

By the way, I bet he could do the part.
I am about 25% sure of this.

Huh?

Oh, it was Clay Aiken who was playing Sir Robin in Spamalot.

I can't keep those AI stars straight.

Isn't he about 100 years too old for this part?

He's 31. My sense is that most high-schoolers on Broadway are not played by high schoolers, to avoid the child labor laws and them having to go to school (Travolta was old enough to drop out after his junior year). So Hicks might be a few years older than some, but Barry Bostwick was 27 when he opened Grease on Broadway, so not so much.

And the Teen Angel isn't supposed to be a teenager anyway. He was played by Frankie Avalon in the movie. Avalon was 39 at the time. When the movie came out, I thought he was old. For some reason, now it doesn't seem like it.

I would!

I don't, nor will I get tickets for Taylor.

He's no Kyle Dodson.

Kyle Dodson was the Teen Angel in Maddie's school production of Grease. He carried the part off by sheer charisma.

I suppose he will be meeting up with Syesha before the year is out.

She was. Kay and I saw her.

Tamyra Gray from season 1 is currently playing Mimi on Broadway. And Anwar Robinson from season 4 is Tom Collins on the national tour.

My daughter and I saw both -- and from up close too, thanks to some good fortune in the lottery. :-) I thought they each acquitted themselves quite well. Anwar's voice is somewhat higher than the usual for Collins, but he used that high range to great effect, especially in the memorial scene.

We also got to chat with him and a number of the rest of the touring cast after the show, which was fun. The daughter of some close friends was also there (I've known her since she was a toddler; last year I sang in her wedding!); she and Anwar were classmates in college, so we tagged along.
Bazinga!

Great to know Anwar landed well. I liked his voice a lot.
