My best friend from college has a few. As far as visibility, she didn't want anything too much. Certainly nothing like a sleeve.

I don't get either, but my oldest son has tattoos of the flags from the countries he's visited, plus tattoos supporting his favorite Premier League team, Manchester United.

I have never found anything that I would want adorning my body for the rest of my life, but I am always interested in hearing the stories behind other people's My wife has "Doc" tattooed on one of her feet. It wass the nickname of her late father. A former neighbor had her husbands dog tags tatooed on her leg after he died in the line of duty. has My sister, who is a huge Wizard of Oz fan, has Flying Monkeys tattooed flying out of her butt. I find sleeves to be really unattractive but hey whatever floats your boat.

I finally figured out what image I want on my body: a compass rose. I'd have it on my upper arm, about 3x3. For me, a compass rose isn’t about travel. It’s about orientation: knowing who I am and what matters, even when everything else shifts.

For me, it's an appreciation of art and a form of self expression. What some artists are able to create on a canvas of skin using the media of ink, water and needles is amazing!

I really can't speak to the younger generation. I've been fascinated by tattoos since I was a kid and started getting them before they were popular or socially acceptable and you only saw them on sailors, bikers and prostitutes.

Had I won the prize on a Halloween Edition of a certain game show I would have a Flying Monkey tattoo.
