I am willing to give credit where it is due. Trump is a reprehensible human being and an existential threat to our Constitutional government. BUT (please refer to what Nedd Stark said about the word "but") by all reports, including sites like the BBC and NPR, he was pivotal in getting a cease fire in Gaza. Credit to him and his team.
Whether it leads to a lasting peace remains remains to be seen. I genuinely hope it does. I genuinely believe it will not.

He is only considered 'reprehensible' by people on your side of the fence, and only since he became engaged in politics on the opposite side of the spectrum that you prefer. He was just fine when he hosted a TV show that was very popular. And somehow, you didn't consider Ted Kennedy or Bill Clinton reprehensible for their behavior while they were actually in office. Somehow, you never talk about the stupid, insane things that your leaders do and say, but jump up and down pointing out things Trump says or does that are presented that way, even when they aren't.Trump is a reprehensible human being and an existential threat to our Constitutional government.
At least half the country believes he is the only thing standing in the way of us LOSING our Constitutional government. But very nice of you to quote that bullshit for the thousandth time. But you forgot that he is a nazi, a white supremacist, an anti-semite, an election denier, a blithering idiot, a brilliant evil schemer, and whatever else your side has come up with to try and stop him. When are you going to figure out, none of that works and nobody believes you anymore except your own ilk.
Be careful, your hypocrisy is showing.
Your friendly neighborhood racist. On the waiting list to be a nazi. Designated an honorary snowflake... Always typical, unlike others.., Fulminator, Hopelessly in the tank for trump... inappropriate... Probably a tucking sexist, too... A clear and present threat to The Future Of Our Democracy.. Doesn't understand anything... Made the trump apologist and enabler playoffs... Heathen bastard... Knows nothing about history... Liar.... don't know much about statistics and polling... Nothing at all about biology... Ignorant Bigot... Potential Future Pariah... Big Nerd... Spiraling, Anti-Trans Bigot.. A Lunatic AND a Bigot.. Very Ignorant of the World in General... Sounds deranged... Fake Christian... Weird... has the mind of a child... Simpleton... gullible idiot... a coward who can't face facts... insufferable and obnoxious dumbass... the usual dum dum... idolatrous donkey-person!... Mouth-breathing moron... Dildo... Inferior thinker... flailing hypocrite... piece of shit

When you say reprehensible I am curious as to what you mean. I ask this because both my kids agree with you. However, not disagreeing with what he's accomplished. Is his reprehensibility worse thsn Clinton or Kennedy, etc? Do good works help abate reprehensibility? I think he's a power monger like every politician we have. Reprehensible is in the eye of the beholder. Does he say and do stupid things? Absolutely. So have virtually all his predecessors.; so do we all. Luckily for us, our every action and word isn't scrutinized, exaggerated, twisted and broadcast to the world. I don't know if this peace deal will last a week, a month, or longer. I can absolutely guarantee you that if (when) it collapses, Trump will be blamed and vilified by the Left. A power monger? maybe. I imagine most powerful people would like more, and not less, power, but he's definitely NOT a politician. And I like that. And, "existential threat to our Constitutional government" is laughable. Seriously.Beebs52 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 15, 2025 4:35 pmWhen you say reprehensible I am curious as to what you mean. I ask this because both my kids agree with you.
