This is what I voted for....

Example 1 (of many)
Hamas has been a ruthless and violent threat, for many years, in the Middle East! They have killed (and made lives unbearably miserable), culminating with the October 7th MASSACRE, in Israel, babies, woman, children, old people, and many young men and women, boys and girls, getting ready to celebrate their future lives together. As retribution for the October 7th attack on civilization, more than 25,000 Hamas “soldiers” have already been killed. Most of the rest are surrounded and MILITARILY TRAPPED, just waiting for me to give the word, “GO,” for their lives to be quickly extinguished. As for the rest, we know where and who you are, and you will be hunted down, and killed. I am asking that all innocent Palestinians immediately leave this area of potentially great future death for safer parts of Gaza. Everyone will be well cared for by those that are waiting to help. Fortunately for Hamas, however, they will be given one last chance! Great, powerful, and very rich Nations of the Middle East, and the surrounding areas beyond, together with the United States of America, have agreed, with Israel signing on, to PEACE, after 3000 years, in the Middle East. THIS DEAL ALSO SPARES THE LIVES OF ALL REMAINING HAMAS FIGHTERS! The details of the document are known to the WORLD, and it is a great one for ALL! We will have PEACE in the Middle East one way or the other. The violence and bloodshed will stop. RELEASES THE HOSTAGES, ALL OF THEM, INCLUDING THE BODIES OF THOSE THAT ARE DEAD, NOW! An Agreement must be reached with Hamas by Sunday Evening at SIX (6) P.M., Washington, D.C. time. Every Country has signed on! If this LAST CHANCE agreement is not reached, all HELL, like no one has ever seen before, will break out against Hamas. THERE WILL BE PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST ONE WAY OR THE OTHER. Thank you for your attention to this matter!
PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP
It is sad to see all the people taken in by the Anti-Israel propaganda that has recently flooded both the legacy media and social media. After what happened on Oct 7, and all the BS stories that the Pro-Hamas crowd has tried to pass off, how can anyone fall for that shit. But unfortunately, some have. Even people that I have had respect for.

The purported 'leader' of Hamas has been cited as urging rejection of the deal. I suspect and hope Israel knows exactly where this guy is located.

Sorry, I am a skeptic, so I will believe it only when the hostages are safe.

Even then, I would lay down money that Hamas will break the deal within days. But I'm hopeful.

In any case, Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize more than anyone I can recall in my lifetime, which I hope he will turn down and give his reasons for doing so.

Perhaps you could educate me. I'm not sure what Trump's role in all this was other than serving as Netanyahu's mouthpiece and quickly claiming credit for every good development that took place. It seems to me that the actions of the various European countries (as well as Canada) in recognizing Palestine in the last few weeks may have given Netanyahu reason to pause in his bulldozing tactics and may have given the European countries some leverage over Hamas as well.

You really do need to be educated, SSS. The foolish countries recognizing Palestine had absolutely nothing to do with this agreement. Palestine could have been recognised at any time in the past 50 years if they wanted peace, SSS. They haven't and Hamas still doesn't. They have no other choice now. They have nowhere else to turn. This agreement was negotiated with the Abraham Accords Countries involvement (A Trump creation) and the ones who will soon be joining that group, God willing. It was also brought into the realm of possibility by the decimation of Hezbollah and our destruction of Iran's nuclear threat. Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner (who was instrumental in the Abraham Accords) were heavily involved in the final negotiations.

Netanyahu has never shown any care for what other countries say or think. He knows they all either have IDS (Israel Derangement Syndrome) or just hate Jews. The only other country he cares about is the US. What makes you think he gave a crap what France and Canada did?

Even though he was one of the worst Presidents in my lifetime, I have always given Carter credit for the Israel-Egypt peace deal, which has withstood the test of time. He earned the Nobel Prize, unlike Obama, who was given one for nothing, and Al Gore who was given one for a big frickin lie. What has any other President done in this area? And who has done more to establish peace in the world in the past 10 months, not to mention the past 10 years?

Does the hatred of Trump (and Netanyahu) know no boundaries with your ilk? If we truly have peace in Israel and the Middle East, which remains to be seen, why can't you find it within yourself to give Trump even a tiny sliver of credit rather than making up some stupid construct to validate your dysfunction?

So, Britain, France, Canada, Australia, and others recognize a Palestinian state, defying Trump and Netanyahu in doing so, and less than two weeks later Netanyahu shows a willingness to seriously negotiate for the very first time. Just one of those funny coincidences, huh?
The only other country he cares about is the US. What makes you think he gave a crap what France and Canada did?
Although Britain, France, and Canada officially cut off arms sales to Israel some time ago, there's plenty of evidence that these arms sales have continued through various mechanisms. So, the possibility of seriously curtailing European aid to Israel is a factor in Netanyahu's thought processes. And he's been calling the shots for two years, not Trump (and to be fair, not Biden either).

Are you one of those people who have fallen for the anti-Israel, anti-Netanyahu propaganda? By the same faction that faked the starving baby stories? And after what Hamas did on Oct 7th? Or have you been persuaded (indoctrinated) that Netanyahu staged the slaughter himself?

Give your mind a break, SSS and consider embracing reality for a change.

Netanyahu shows a willingness to seriously negotiate for the very first time.
Seriously negotiate? How many times have the palestinians rejected and or broken every peace proposal that has been presented to them in our lifetime? They PAY the relatives of people who suicide bomb innocent Israelis. That is documented fact. All of a sudden they are the good guys? Don't follow your political party and the globalist anti-semites into insanity, SSS. Think for yourself for a change....

Don't you think that a little introspection might help you, SSS? So many people like you have gone down the wrong road because of hatred based on nothing but political policy differences. There is no 'racism', 'bigotry', 'fascism' or whatever you think is going on. That is all on YOUR side.

Maybe you don't agree with the political policies Trump and millions of others who voted for him support, but that is no reason to blindly hate him and throw all kinds of unsupported, bullshit ad hominem attacks at him and us. The political policies that your side espouse have been given ample time and exercise, and still we are in the state we are in. Where is your utopia? Why don't you just sit back and see what our policies can accomplish without sabotaging, delaying, cursing and whining? I assure you, none of us want to go to war or destroy the world. There are other people who want to do that and we should all be worried about them.

At least one world leader shares your point of view:

Putin praises Trump peace efforts: ‘He’s really doing a lot’
Vladimir Putin wrote:He’s really doing a lot to resolve such complex crises that have lasted for years and even decades. There have been cases where the committee has awarded the Nobel Peace Prize to people who have done nothing for peace. A person comes, good or bad, and [gets it] in a month, in two months, boom. For what? He didn’t do anything at all. In my view, these decisions have done enormous damage to the prestige of this prize.

But here's the thing. It is not simply "political policy differences." I opposed nearly everything George W. Bush did, and had beef with some Obama and Biden policies as well. But at no point in my lifetime was I concerned about the stability of our system of government. Until now. This is about Trump's circumventing, abusing, and just plain ignoring the core principles of our Republic and the Constitution. Before I retired as a teacher, I would teach a unit on those 6 core principles - Balance of Power, Checks & Balances, Federalism, Popular Sovereignty, Rule of Law, and Republicanism. Trump's actions over the last eight months have shown a blatant disregard for all of them. Governing by fiat in the form executive orders (including amending the Constitution itself through this process), cutting off of funding already mandated by Congress, dispatching federal troops to states over the objections of state governments, weaponizing the judiciary, refiguring state voting rights and laws, limiting media access and freedom, et al. Any of these by themselves would be concerning, but all of them in one administration is indicative of a blatant disregard of what the Constitution means and that poses an existential threat.

As far as the Nobel goes, as I understand it, the deadline for submitting names was in January and most of the committee's deliberations were in March, so at that point there had not been the accomplishments that he has claimed. And before you throw it back at me, I said at the time and still whole heartedly agree that Obama's Nobel was - at best - premature. If the peace in Gaza holds, I could see a case to be made for it next year. But I don't think the Committee really wants to award to someone who openly campaigns for it.

Krox, I believe you suffer from the same self imposed affliction that SSS does, exacerbated by being exposed to the education system indoctrination machine for so long. You somehow are blind to the crimes against our nation perpetrated by the previous administration(s), the ubiquitous swamp and their lapdog media. Instead, you find it fasionable and comfortable to blame the kitchen sink on Trump. So predictable and tiresome. But I agree with the rest of your post. Just wanted to point out how mind f×××ed the Nobel Committee was and is.

In any case, Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize more than anyone I can recall in my lifetime, which I hope he will turn down and give his reasons for doing so.
Nobel prizes are usually given for a lifetime of achievement. At least, they wait awhile to see how the nominee’s accomplishments pan out (as they learned the hard way with Kissinger and Le Duc Tho). Contrary to Trump’s complaint, Obama didn’t get the prize right after his election (though I still wonder what he got it for). If this cease-fire holds longer than the ones Biden negotiated, and Trump stands by Ukraine, he should get the prize next year, and I’ll applaud.

the ubiquitous swamp and their lapdog media.
Considering that the only "news" sources you ever cite are random tweets from random people whose only qualification seems to be that they say something you agree with, I don't think you have much room to criticize the lapdog media.

Further proof you don't bother to read my posts. You just do a knee jerk reaction to the first minor point you find some "expert" opposing opinion on. Just like this here one.

oh, like Time Magazine and The Hill that you quoted from in this thread?

I actually try to choose news sources that you would think acceptable, but sometimes they just pull themselves out of the running. Take the Jay Jones texts, for example. Do you even know about that? I would be surprised if you do, because your 'accepted' sources of news refuse to cover it.

So don't complain to me about the sources I use. Complain to your sources about things they decide not to cover.

Spoiler
So, let's see if it's at all possible that you can get back to the main point. I stated that one of the reasons I voted for Trump because he seems to have been able to put together a workable plan for peace between Israel and "Palestine". Whether it holds or is honored by Hamas remains to be seen. But I give him credit for what he's done so far. You seem to take issue with that viewpoint. (Which fits the pattern I notice with you and many other like you. You can't/won't give Trump credit for anything good, and blame him for everything you perceive as bad. He is simultaneously the smartest villian in history, or a very lucky idiot).
You seem to hold the opinion that Netanyahu is the bad guy and orchestrated the whole thing, or something like that. Then you tell me 'there's plenty of evidence' that Europe is supporting or blackmailing Israel (I can't understand which) without citing any. I must admit I don't follow whatever logic you are trying to use.

I also expressed my opinion that if the Nobel Prize had any remaining credibility, it should go to Trump, and he would be right to refuse it, based upon it's past political, progressive and leftist bias. You, again, take issue with that viewpoint, and attack it by telling me Putin agrees with me and that I only quote sources by random people (like the person who DID get the award) to support my viewpoints.

SSS, I really believe you're smarter than this. Do some introspection on your political views and see the hypocrisy.

PS, Maybe you'll read this if it's in a spoiler.....

Rare? This guy tells everyone what he's thinking at every moment. He's the most open, transparent President we've ever had. Please don't go with the 'conventional wisdom' which is completely BS when it comes to Trump. Think for yourself. He does what he says he will do. And we don't have very many, if any, elected officials who do that.

Yeah, he may not go to heaven. Nobody ever claimed he was a saint. But he's doing a LOT of good things.

Name two.

I'm asking for two so you won't just fall back on the Gaza accord, the amount of credit he's due is still up to some question.

Obviously no introspection here. Still going after minor points not even addressed to you and changing the subject, so that you can avoid the major points for which you have no answer.

But I'll roll with it... I will just name 2 off the top of my head, not including the Gaza peace, which everyone but you and your fellow hypocrites credit him for making possible. Then you will do a google search on and find some asshole from Rolling Stone or some leftist shill 'expert' to make up a 'fact check' for you.

1. He prevented a possible nuclear war between India and Pakistan (look it up).
2. He closed the border and stopped the deliberate flood of MILLIONS of illegals entering this country in an attempt to keep your political party in power. His deporting of them is another good thing, but that's a corollary.
2a. (in case you don't like that one). He prevented Iran from becoming a nuclear power.
2b. (In case you forgot about this one) He got back control of the Panama Canal from China.
2c. (An important one) He re-established respect for the US all around the world.
2d. (The most important one) He spared us four years of Biden senility and autopen dictatorship and having to hear Kamala Harris nonsensical babble talk and cackling.

shoot, it's late, I need to stop there. If you want more, just ask.

Trump taking after-the-fact credit for wars that don't happen and never were going to happen is not the same as Trump preventing them. India and Pakistan have clashed since the two countries were formed in the 1940s. By your token, every president since Truman "prevented a possible nuclear war." The difference is that none of them claimed credit without any proof.

Flattery from stongmen like Putin and Netanyahu to butter Trump up isn't the same as "establishing respect" for the US. Our relations with almost every other country have deteriorated substantially since he took office.

China never had control of the Panama Canal, and Trump's efforts to meddle there have only worsened relations with Panama, the country that actually does control the Panama Canal, and delayed a proposed sale of 43 ports, including two in Panama, by a Hong Kong company to various private concerns.

You asked me to name 2 of trump's accomplishments. All for the purpose of avoiding the main points that I pointed out previously. I gave you more than 2. You put down nebulous, unsupported opinions about 3 of them, and didn't touch the rest. No surprise there, it's what you always do.

You just want to hate Trump. That seems to be your only platform. So, tell me, what the fuck is your point?
