I don't disagree about that being a problem. I would also note that many of those convictions were before 2020. I would also note the guy has very obvious mental health problems, and just throwing him in jail to satisfy your bloodlust may make us safe from him going forward, but what would have made everyone safe - both Iryna and this perpetrator - is a stronger mental health care system.

I see schizophrenics very regularly who hear voices. Unless they are endorsing eminent violence my hands are completely tied. We've filled up our jails with the mentally ill and the drug users, meaning we push out some of the violent because they're just evil. The amount of crazy and drug addicted I see get processed through the criminal justice system would astonish you - and make you realize how futile it is just incarcerate them for a few months here and there.

The solution to this crime, according to Pam Bondi, is to send this guy to federal prison, but I don't see talk of restoring funding and resources to our mental health system - and maybe giving peace officers and medical providers a bit more leeway to commit someone, even if just short term.

You seem to agree with President Trump, who recently proposed that maybe we should reopen 'insane asylums'. But it is likely you will vehemently oppose this only because Trump proposed it.

One of the biggest reasons you’re so stupid is that you make gigantic sweeping conclusions like medical providers all thinking the same thing. So if some of them think that a teenager should get hormone therapy, obviously their opinion of someone’s profound mental illness is completely invalid. Every single one of them. And what criteria or process that they would use to reach those conclusions doesn’t even make a difference.

I mean, it fits with your view of the world as this big clump of entities all aligned against you, but that’s not how medical providers work.

On the other hand, and I mentioned this as an example for you to reevaluate your black and white sense of things, I’ll confess that I think Trump might actually have a point about our mental health system. But the general big picture is that I think we need a better funded mental health system with more ability to treat people with long-term psychiatric illness. There are number of psychiatric patients that I see where I realize that we’re really doing nothing for them. The whole situation is going nowhere. If they’re not institutionalized, they’re gonna die on the street one day. People joke about this shit. It’s terrible.

If the credentialing agency didn't approve of her answers on her periodic tests, she would not be able to practice. So I am assuming the credentialing entity approves of this recategorization of gender dysphoria to something "treatable" using these barbaric and dangerous methods. If they used these methods if treatments without the ok of their credentialing agency, they would lose their licenses.

In my own field, there are a couple of mini tests that you can pick about different body system emergencies. That was extremely poorly well received by practicing positions and there’s been a pushback to even roll that much back in terms of a requirement.

A very low bar. I think it’s entirely reasonable to expect doctors to know something about this stuff. Even just medication side effects or such.

Just to help you out, my credentialing organization asked people starting last year to give their preferred gender, and there was a huge freak out, just about that. So I don’t anticipate that many credential organizations are forcing do or die endorsements of transgenderism onto the doctors who pay fees to keep these organizations afloat.

I can tell you from my own experience with my credential organization, that type of extremely hands on control is incredibly unlikely. There are members of ACOG who oppose abortion.
