Translation: Trump was guilty of massive business fraud, but the $500 Million judgment was excessive. The various injunctions against Trump doing business in New York still remain in effect. James will appeal to the highest New York appellate court. Only Trump could consider today's decision total victory. (I'm not including Flock in that statement because I think he's at least somewhat more coherent than Trump.)

Because of that, the verdict and the 'punishment' is now rendered meaningless. She didn't, and she won't, get her goal. Not anywhere near.

And she may have to celebrate anything she does get from a jail cell, if there's any justice left in the justice system.

I haven't read the appellate opinion, and it's sure to be appealed, so I don't know what recourse James and Judge Engoron have in resentencing Trump to a lower amount of damages. As for the "charges" against James, my view is the same as about the 60 cases of "documented" election fraud. Until somebody introduces evidence in a court of law, all you've got is a lot of hot air from the usual sources.

The only thing he is guilty of is being the target of the disgusting practice of lawfare. Which I am personally familiar with, though at a much lower level. The main thing you are guilty of is continuing willful ignorance.
