..what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms.

Re: Weyoun in re elephant in the room
I've started following professional wrestling again to get my mind off other things and next Saturday night (local time), the WWE is supposed to hold one of their major events at the soccer stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Capacity would be about 30,000 people. (I think there's a smaller event taking place the night before.) That seems to me to be a perfect example of a soft target for a military or terrorist attack in front of an international live audience. This could be a nightmarish scenario in the making.

Nice deflection. If such an act happens, it will be extremely fair to blame Trump for rounding up tomato pickers while gutting the FBI. Especially if Iran did do this as an act of revenge.

No, stupid is blaming Joe Biden if a terrorist attack happens during the *Trump administration.*
Assuming you are correct, shouldn’t Trump have factored that in before doing the attack?
But thanks for tipping everyone off as to what the party line will be when something terrible happens. And when it comes to Trump, it’s always the fault of someone other than the person in charge.

You are doubling down on your stupidity. You should take a break. Seriously. You have no moral or even intellectual ground to stand on with that comment.
You are arguing to let the beasts of the world lie because their agents, you assisted, may be angered into action.

Re: Weyoun in re elephant in the room

First of all, Iran supposedly has been weeks away from a nuclear weapon since 1995. Earlier this year, our director of intelligence looked at the information and said they weren’t really close to anything at all. So pardon me if I have questions about this. Remember last time when we got into a Middle Eastern war, Colin Powell at least bothered to sit in front of the United Nations and throw some pictures up.BackInTex wrote: ↑Sun Jun 22, 2025 10:49 amYou are doubling down on your stupidity. But let’s say that’s true and the attack is completely justified. Now let’s say Iran retaliate by attacking American somewhere.
You’ve opted to blame Joe Biden, assuming that this Iranian agent came across the Rio Grande years ago, instead of in response to this.
In doing so, you’re suggesting that stuff like appointing this teenager to be in charge of our counterterrorism is completely responsible and totally fine, no questions asked:

Re: Weyoun in re elephant in the room
I have relatives in Tel Aviv and Haifa who have had to hide in bomb shelters. On the other side, thousands of civilians in Iran, Lebanon, Palestine, Yemen, Syria, Russia, etc. have been killed or wounded because they have the bad luck to live in a country whose leaders don’t value human life. So I disagree with the “America first” isolationists who want to avoid all conflict because they only care about American lives. As Pres. Trump said about the other war, “We’re talking about here, people dying, They’re not from America, they’re not from anywhere else other than Ukraine and Russia, but we want to save these lives.”

Re: Weyoun in re elephant in the room
I guess this is the Iran thread.
I hope and pray the ceasefire holds. And maybe, just maybe, we get peace in the middle east.
Radical Islamist jihad scumbags still hate Israel and the West (and pretty much everyone else), but Iran was the major sponsor of terrorism. If they have been neutralized, there is hope for peace.
Let's all pray for this.

Reports suggest that the strike failed to significantly knock out Iran’s nuclear capability. Should have sent Maverick

Re: Weyoun in re elephant in the room
We're in the infancy of AI. I have seen reports about everything, contradicting each other, often accompanied by convincing graphics.
We will no longer know what to believe. Even our lying eyes.
Then people ask grok (another AI) "Is this true?"
This is very troubling.
