So, here's my take

#1 Post by Beebs52 » Sun Mar 23, 2025 4:04 pm

The Repubs are, in most cases, recently, going to butt heads with Dems. The Dems are, in most cases, recently, going to butt heads with Repubs.

Past percentages will waver to and fro in re who butts where and how. My personal take is that forehead injury and possibly subdural hematomas, metaphorically, will happen.
Well, then

The difference between the two is that Democrats are givers, and the Republicans are takers.

The difference, philosophically bettween the two is:

Republicans allow everyone to have fishing poles so all can catch their own fish, and let them keep them.

It’s lovely that you think that. That’s why they’re cutting taxes on the millionaires and raising it on the working folks? Is that why tariffs will almost certainly fall disproportionately on the working folk?

One reason you’re the biggest pig of all is you think that the only problem is, people are just lazy.

I know this has been part of the Republican mythos for a long time. I even bought it back in the 80s.

Can you give me one concrete example of the Republicans following this policy? I'm not talking about just opposing whatever the Dems do, I mean real filling evidence that they are providing normal people with fishing poles, metaphorically or literally.
