Fulfilling a lifelong dream, Harv will be a contestant on Jeopardy! on Monday. Retroactive good luck to him! --Bob

I gave up trying; there's too much pop culture. I aced the online tests until the last few years.

It's not quite a lifelong dream - I was 14 years old when the current iteration of J! premiered in 1984, and I was not quite 31 when I first took the qualifying test (and 34 the first time I passed). But yeah, I've been at this for a while. So I'm excited that y'all will finally be able to watch me on the playing on the Alex Trebek Stage tomorrow (Monday), March 10!

And after nearly 24 years, the universe is compensating me for the frustration of coming within an O-Town question of making it onto prime-time WWTBAM when I played the last-ever round 2 of the phone game . . .

As a courtesy to those who haven't yet had an opportunity to watch the show, please avoid spoilers for any game (or at least use spoiler tags) until after 8:00 p.m. PDT of the day the game airs. --Bob

Maybe I should give it another try. I missed out on the prime time WWTBAM by never having heard of A Flock Of Seagulls in the last phone game question.

Spoiler
What an impressive win!! Even without FJ he put up some big numbers. Had he hit FJ, he'd have made $50,000, which would be one of the largest non-Holzhauer amounts ever.

I have play rehearsal every weekday at a time that only allows me to catch the first 5 minutes of the show. Unless HBomb becomes a 10-day Champ, I won't be able to see much of his run.
Spoiler
The way he dominated today, that 10-Day Champ thing certainly looks possible.

And considering that one of the other players was an eight-day champ herself - WOW! Not to mention that I loved your mid-game interview. Congratulations and enjoy the accolades.

Great job Harvey! But you know that.

I will add that I truly enjoyed watching you steamroll through though the first set of questions before you "allowed" one of your opponents to buzz in. Truly magnificent.

Yes, JBoard is down since Saturday evening. Robert KS is working on the problem and having trouble fixing it.

What he shared with me:

for now I have to block the general population because if I open it up, server CPU utilization shoots to 100% instantly and the site becomes useless
