Here in Atlanta, we rarely get snow (once or twice a year), but when we get any significant amount, it messes the area up big time. This morning, we had about three inches of snow (much more than usual). Most schools, government offices, and a lot of businesses had already shut down for the day, so traffic was minimal this morning. The big problem we have is icy conditions. Atlanta is very hilly so the roads have a lot of hills and curves, and there are plenty of bridges and highway overpasses. We also don't have the amount of snow clearing vehicles that northern cities have. The temperature right now is just about 32 degrees and may get a bit warmer, but we're going to be getting freezing rain this afternoon. That plus the partially melted snow means the roads will have significant amounts of ice and get very nasty tonight and much of the day tomorrow. The ice on power lines also means possible widespread power outages. I've already seen local news footage with plenty of stalled and stuck vehicles, and that's going to get worse. Sunday, the temperature should get up in the 40s and take care of much of the problem.
It's not like what we see up north or what the people and California are facing, but it's going to be a mess for the next couple of days. Hope Flock is doing well.

Years and years ago, my f-i-l had to park his car and walk home to Tucker from GA Tech due to what we up here would consider a light dusting.
