Fuckers. They're not even sparkly fireworks. Just loud cherrybomb, gunshot sounding bullshit that freak out everyone's animals.

I'm hoping that's all we have around here next week. The complexes around where we live are largely Hispanic, and it's a cultural tradition with many of them to shoot off guns on New Year's Eve. They also seem to be unaware of the laws of gravity that say that what goes up must come down. We've always made sure to be inside well before midnight and stay away from all the windows, just in case.

Every doggie I've ever had has been terrified of fireworks, but we got lucky this time. Some idiots set some off on New Year's Eve, but our two just snoozed on. Don't knock, though . . .
