Steven Spielbored Presents...Bored With Love

#1 Post by Steven Spielbored » Tue Dec 31, 2024 10:59 pm

A Bored/Hallmark Presentation

Scene: Meet LB Walker. He is tall and handsome and, surprisingly, unhitched.

Image

Scene: LB lives in a place called The Bored, known to all there as The Notebook Boy. He keeps things running smoothly on The Bored. Everybody loves LB.

Image

Scene: Meet Beebs Chabert.

Image

She was once in love with LB, but she chose life in another part of cyberspace

Image

And she always looks fabulous, and, surprisingly, is also unhitched.

Scene: they meet up for the first time in years

Image

LB: Beebs, I didn't expect to see you here in these parts.

Beebs: I came back to take care of some things, alamy. I run a highly successful business, you know. Alamy.

LB: I hear what you are trying to say, but it all sounds like the word "alamy".

Beebs: And why are we surrounded by floating "a's"? I thought you fixed that problem.

LB: I'm working on it.

Beebs: Do you still host Lyrically Speaking Winter Extravaganza. I used to love playing that.

Image

LB: Every winter. You know what, we should pretend we hate each other. But first, a pose.

Beebs: That is so fetch.

Image

LB: Stop trying to make fetch happen.

Image

Beebs: [To agent] Get me out of this promo or you're fired.

Scene: Beebs and LB keep running into each other over the next few days. Could it be that there is still a spark?

Image

Beebs: Wait. Didn't we do this scene, already?

LB: It's much better without the alamays and a's floating around.

Beebs: I kind of liked them.

LB: Okay, just for you. Voila'!

Image

Beebs: That's better.

Scene: LB is troubled with a decision he has to make. He found a place to sell his AI art and, if he goes, won't be around to host LSWE.

LB: Thank God I still have my looks.

Image

Scene: LB and Beebs spend more time together

Image

Beebs: I think I'm falling back in love with you, LB. I'd like to stay here on the Bored and play Lyrically Speaking in January. And dress in beautiful clothes, of course.

LB: [mumbling] I'd like to slide my hands down. Or up. But this is a Hallmark Promo.

Beebs: What was that?

LB: I love you, too.

Scene: Beebs overhears LB talking about leaving The Bored. She turns into a mean girl.

Image

Then a zombie:

Image

And decides to go back to her place in cyberspace

Image

Scene: LB tries to find Beebs, only to realize she has headed to the train station

Image

He rushes as fast as he can to beat the train, stopping only to pause for a candid shot in a random living room

Image

Scene: A youthful LB makes a phone call to his agent

LB: You're fired!

Image

Scene: LB finds Beebs before she reaches her train

Image

Beebs: I'm heading back and nothing you can say will stop me. I know you're leaving the Bored and I won't be able to play LSWE.

LB: You have it wrong. Because of you, I changed my mind about that. I'm not leaving. Lyrically Speaking goes on!

Beebs: You're not leaving? I'm sorry I went all zombie on you.

LB: No worries. Let's end this scene the way we always do. Let's touch foreheads.

Image

Beebs: I love you, Notebook Boy.

LB: I love you too, zombie girl.

THE END

Lyrically Speaking Winter Extravaganza returns in January....ish

This is the first promo where I didn't die. I expected Beebs to go all Ed Gein on me. Hallmark's ratings would skyrocket...

Ed Gein's estate required too much royalty fee.
Well, then

Yeah, it should have ended with the competition who is trying to buy out the Grange Family Vineyards to put up an American version of Scotch distillery there taking both of those 2 to the train station.

You could have the vineyard being the site of a special type of peat to make smoky Scotches and in a twist the "Bad Guys" find out that the LB guy wants to push his siblings out of the family vineyard to turn it into upscale condos and thereby destroy the habitat for the very rare peat bog dwelling carnivorous purple squirrel that is only found there.

And that Beebs chick-well I don't even have to tell you that the only reason she came back was to ply the LB guy with her wiles because she has her own nefarious plans for the vineyard. I had that dame figured out as a femme fatale from the beginning.

Always watch out for a Dame with Wiles!!!!!!!

The Gridiron version of this promo would have involved a Whataburger and an ill fated left turn...
