My last ten weeks

#1 Post by Bob78164 » Fri Jul 26, 2024 2:23 am

For those who've been wondering how I've spent my last ten weeks or so, wonder no more. The jury should get the case later today. I'll be there again, on my usual 2-3 hours of sleep. Gotta argue verdict forms and prepare for rebuttal after the defense gives its closing argument. --Bob

Are you representing Mattel?

The article says the plaintiff’s attorneys are Bryan Freedman and Miles Feldman. Or are you working with them?

I'm one of Miles's partners. I've been second-chairing the case. --Bob

Good luck. Based on what was in the article I hope you get your client a big settlement. Things like that should not happen.

Thanks. I don't think we're getting him any kind of settlement. We're aiming for a big verdict, though. --Bob

What does that do for your client? A big verdict with no money? What is he asking for?

The verdict is in. By a vote of 9-3, it did not go our way. --Bob

Sorry about that Bob. It must be tough to put so much work in to not see things go your way.

Thanks. Much tougher for the client, though. I can move on to the next case. Unless we get this reversed on appeal, this means the client will never see justice done. --Bob
