Grab Bag - Bag 5

July 19, 2024

Welcome to highpointing.
This is an activity in which members aspire to reach the highest point in each of the 50 US states and DC. I know someone who has completed this goal.

Below is a list of US States and even further below is a list of highest points. Match the highest points to the correct state.

Please list the state first.

Note: there is one extra high point on the list (my mistake, too late to fix)

Three points each.

States:

Alaska
Delaware
Florida
Kentucky
Maine
Massachusetts
Minnesota
Montana
Ohio
South Carolina
South Dakota

Highest points:

Black Elk Peak
Black Mountain
Britton Hill
Campbell Hill
Denali
Eagle Mountain
Ebright Azimuth
Gannett Peak
Granite Peak
Katahdin
Mount Greylock
Sassafras Mountain

Bonus: Which of the above is the highest of the high points? (2 points)

Bonus: Which of the above is the lowest of the high points? (2 points)

Bonus: Which one of these high points did I personally conquer just last week (in my home state)? (2 points, 1 for just knowing which state)

Total points: 39

Like it would have killed you to put Colorado in here so I could at least get one right???

After I matched up my Garanimals, I realized that I could have put down the two I actually know and then just picked one to answer for the rest so I'd at least get 3 points. But hey, I've heard even a blind hog occasionally finds an acorn....ha!

Got to be a hill and since I put this one in Florida....
