Paramount+ with Showtime will have a Dexter prequel series entitled Dexter: Original SIn coming soon. It's set 15 years before the time the original series began. The prequel will star Christian Slater as Dexter's father and Patrick Gibson as Dexter. (Dexter's dead father talked to him on the original series). In the prequel, Dexter's father will teach him the "Code" for who he can kill and the college-aged Dexter will get a job as a forensics intern with the Miami Police Department.
