Re: Stros
The Astros have painted themselves into a corner. It will be an uphill climb. They've dug themselves a deep hole.
They have to win 4 of 5 games against the Rangers. Can they do it? Yes. Will they? I'm not buying any mattresses, but I hope so.
Astros have played the Rangers 15 times this year (including the 2 ALCS games). Within that series there are 11 strings of 5 games. Of those 11 strings, the Astros won 4, six times. They were very streaky. They won 4 in a row once and 3 in a row once. The ALCS is the first time the Astros have lost 2 in a row to the Rangers this year.
In the below, Blue are home games. The Astros are 3-5 at home and 6-1 away against the Rangers. That is encouraging.

Re: Stros
I was just sitting down to eat lunch and my wife mentioned one of the guys she works out with in the morning said he was going to the game, and just purchased the tickets that morning. So, on a whim, I looked up tickets. They were not as high priced as I expected. In fact I found two on the front row of a the sky box for less than I paid for some ticket during the regular season last year. So I bought them, about 12:30. We left the house about 1:45, drove the hour and a half there, walked several blocks from the parking lot, got into the stadium and ordered a drink at the snack bar as they sang the National Anthem. What a great game to experience and on a whim. It had everything but a walk off, that would not have been good for us. Altuve, indeed!

Either the Astros win tonight, or they double down on their distinction of being the only team to ever lose a best of seven postseason series by losing all four games at home...

The Astros didn't look like they wanted it. They looked like a last place team in the last regular season game.
The Rangers on the other hand were all in.

No evidence the Astros won in 2017 because of the cheating. They could have won, or lost, in spite of the cheating. One of the championships the Texas senator was referring to was a 2017 win, which was later revealed to be the result of cheating
