Re: Sauce!
It's been a while since I found one that could make Beebs' list, but finally tonight:
The Price We Pay (on Peacock). The title is an apt description for how you'll feel if you watch it.
Imagine if the robbers from the first half of From Dusk Till Dawn got lost and wound up at Leatherface's house from Texas Chainsaw Massacre. And that Leatherface was a very large woman who liked to use various swords, scythes, and similar sharp implements instead of a chainsaw. And that her family liked to kidnap truckstop hookers and bring them back to the farm where they harvested and sold their victims' organs. And that everything I've described here appears in the movie in rather graphic detail at one time or another.
And if you happen to be grabbing a snack from the refrigerator when one person gets his head chopped off with blood spurting from the neck stump, don't worry. Wait about 15 minutes and you'll see it happen again to another person.
And a bonus for anyone who saw X (my favorite horror film from 2022, available on Paramoun+/Showtime), the farmhouse where most of this movie takes place resembles the set from X.
