Houston Aquarium bday fun

#1 Post by Beebs52 » Sat Feb 18, 2023 7:04 pm

Hit the aquarium today for Jake's Bday. It was fun all around, fishes and rides and tigers.
I especially liked Nero. One of four Bengals. Don't bother to post animal activist stuff. They have a new indoor, outdoor habitat, after being there in captivity from birth.
Kara and I did the slow cat wink with Nero. He looked at us. No shit.

At first, when you mentioned tigers, I wondered if folks in Houston did not know what an aquarium was.

I have not been to Omaha's zoo in many years, as my kids are no longer kids, but your post caused me to look at the website. They seemingly have removed the "cat house" and dispersed them to exhibits that reflect their native habitats, which they had started to do back when we went to the zoo. There are tigers in the Asian Highlands.

I know. I think it's strange too. Hey, Tilman Fertitta has fun for everyone.
I actually don't like zoos that much. Nero was pretty chill.

Nah. I'm the boring gramma. Kara's folks are the ones who take them everywhere.
