Yes, I am. Why, I don't know, But I did get it from the library, so I'm not adding to H&M's coffers...

(Ha! H&M! So appropriate but I never realized it before.....)

Not right now. I am on the wait list at the library. Like you, I don’t want to add to the coffers. I do like them and wish them well, but I think the tell all was overkill.

Silly me. I hadn't heard of the book, and assumed it was about a mediocre bowler. --Bob

No need to spend a dime or wait for a library copy - all the deets have already been spilled.

How long is your wait list?

I don't know how many (ebook) copies my library got, but I was #6 and got it the first day. So apparently nobody was thinking about getting on the list pre-publication. The only reason I knew about it was because I got a recommendation suggestion from the library. It must have been because I've been on a royal history kick lately, specifically the Plantagenets (I'm something of a Ricardian) and the Six Wives.

I'm not sure it's really what people have been led to believe. It's like 700 and some pages and I don't think that "she" is even mentioned until almost page 500. Right now, he's in Afghanistan, so we'll see.

I would also recommend the read to people who think they already know what's in it because of stories in the news. For instance, I had read about him having major beef with Elton John because he begged him to play Candle in the Wind at the anniversary memorial. What he said in the book, is that he asked Elton to play Candle, but EJ thought that would be too morbid and suggested Your Song (which I think was Diana's favourite). Harry then posted some lyrics and talked about how wonderful and uplifting it was. So much for beef.

That said, I haven't watched any of their specials or interviews or docs, so all I go by is articles I happen to see (and it's usually just the headlines I read).

King Charles III has evicted the Sussexes from Frogmore Cottage near Windsor Castle. (They haven't actually lived there since 2020.) The King asked his brother the Duke of York to relocate from his much larger mansion in Windsor to Frogmore. The coronation on 6 May will be exciting.
