Yep, agreed. He now is calling Ron DrSantis “DeSanctimonious”. I do hope he does not run. If he does, he won’t get my primary vote. If he wins the primary, he will get my vote, but I will shower afterwards.

He should rally the base, he is good at that, but for someone else on the team.

This right here is the problem. As long as he can win the primary, he will pay no political price for his outrageousness. --Bob

What political price did Biden pay? Or Clinton? You have to put policy over personality.

And the policy that every occupant of the Oval Office has implemented, with one very prominent exception, is respecting the will of the American people as expressed in a free and fair election. Even Bush 43, who I thought would prove to be the worst President of my lifetime, understood that fundamental principle.

Donny doesn't. He will do his level best to drive democracy over a cliff if it means he gets to retain personal power. And if he succeeds, then what the voters think about policy will stop mattering because we won't be able to throw the bums out any more.

Far too much of the Republican Party is willing to stand by and let him succeed, or even to help him. And that is why I fear for our country.

I've often said that I owe my son a habitable planet and I owe him a functioning democracy. I'm very worried my generation will end up welching on both of those debts. --Bob

You are so sanctimonious, like the dem election deniers dating back to, oh, Gore, Hilz, yada yada yada. I wish I was so ethically pristine like you and yours. Of course no election in the history of this country has EVER been suspect before. Ever. Right.
Grow up.

Vice President Gore publicly acceded to the Supreme Court's (incorrect) decision ending the Florida recount. He certainly didn't gin up an armed mob to attack the Capitol. --Bob

And, didn't know you were personally in charge of planet habitability. Good luck with that dude! And democracy guardian of the galaxy! Forget constitutional republic and that pesky electoral college.
Such a big boy you are.

As long as TFG doesn't declare he's running for President, he can use contributions for anything he wants with no accountability.

I disagree. Trump lost the 2020 election even though Republican Congressional candidates were winning back a number of seats they lost in 2018. So a substantial number of people did not vote for Trump who otherwise voted a Republican ticket. His antics since the 2020 election in connection with the Big Lie and the confidential documents will cost him additional Republican and conservative-leaning independent votes.
