Leslie Jordan dead at 67
Leslie Jordan died Monday at the age of 67
Leslie Jordan died following a car crash in Los Angeles Monday. He was 67.
Los Angeles Police Department officials confirmed to Fox News Digital that officers responded to a car collision at approximately 8:50 a.m. in the Hollywood division.
Officer Moore said authorities responded to a "medical emergency" shortly before 9 a.m.
"The world is definitely a much darker place today without the love and light of Leslie Jordan," his agent David Shaul shared in a statement to Fox News Digital. "Not only was he a mega talent and joy to work with, but he provided an emotional sanctuary to the nation at one of it's most difficult times."
I recognized this guy recently on Call Me Kat, but I could have sworn he was on Evening Shade or Coach or some older show like that, that used to watch on a regular basis. But looking at his IMDB profile, nothing looks familiar.
A funny guy. The world is a little darker.

Oh dear. I think I most recently saw him in US vs Billie Holiday. And interviews. He was so funny.
Well, then

Leslie Jordan died at 67. The actor, known for shows like “Will and Grace,” became an Instagram star during the pandemic.
Sitting out Covid-19 in Tennessee, near his family, he began posting vignettes on Instagram — simple, amusing moments from his life — and was surprised to find his number of followers balloon into the millions.

He was a delight. Sorry he's gone.

The show was Hearts Afire - created by Linda Bloodworth Thomason, who also developed Designing Women and Evening Shade.
John Ritter and Markie Post - conservative aide and liberal reporter, respectively. They marry and move back to his hometown so he can be editor of the newspaper there.
I loved his videos during the pandemic. A little darker, indeed.

Vaguely remember Hearts Afire, but most recently remember him with Vickie Lawrence in, I think it was "Cool Kids" or "The Cool Kids" - something like that - short-lived but I enjoyed it.

Leslie Jordan will be in the next five episodes of Call Me Kat, airing Thursday nights, unless they postpone the new episodes. They did say they would need a break in filming. Tonight's episode is when we were scheduled to meet his love interest.

Call Me Kat to Introduce Jack McBrayer as the Café's New Baker
TVLine has an exclusive sneak peek at Thursday’s episode (Fox, 9:30/8:30c), which welcomes the 30 Rock alum as new hire Gideon, the baker Kat has tapped to replace Leslie Jordan’s Phil — at least for now. In the clip, Kat brings the Amish man over to The Middle C so he can meet all her favorite people (and Sheila), but neglects to warn her friends that Gideon has no filter.
