It finally rained here after weeks of 90+ degrees and high humidity. It was like living in Florida only without gators.

This is monsoon season here. We have thunderstorms almost every day.

Last night, shortly after I received a severe weather warning and I saw a cell moving our way, there was a lightning strike about a hundred yards from here. The thunder was deafening and echoed for ten seconds. We got very little rain from it.
