Here we go again

#1 Post by Pastor Fireball » Mon Jun 06, 2022 10:05 am

On top of the 21 innocent Americans who were murdered by a well-regulated militia in Uvalde, TX, nearly two weeks ago, two more well-regulated militias shot a total of 25 (and killed at least 6) innocent Americans this past weekend in Philadelphia and Chattanooga.

What was that you said? Those murders were not committed by "well-regulated militias" but by "individuals"? Then congratulations, you just admitted that you know the difference between what you want the U.S. Constitution to say and what the U.S. Constitution actually says.

Carry on.

I'll need a shower getting in the same thread with the OP but here goes:

From this:
Further, the Court found that the phrase well regulated Militia referred not to formally organized state or federal militias, but to the pool of able-bodied men who were available for conscription.1
In other words, the pool of able-bodied men would be "individuals".

Off to take a shower....

If the SCOTUS can reverse Roe v. Wade because they're pro-life, they can certainly reverse this opinion on the Second Amendment which would also be pro-life.

No the same, at all. R v W was/is about a practice, an action, not the tools used. Even if R v W is overturned, doctors will still be able to buy and use scalpels, vaccum hoses, forceps, etc. They just won't be able to legally use them to kill babies.

We have laws against using guns to kill babies that don't do much good. Why should we have more laws?
