Having a wonderful time, wish you were here

#1 Post by KillerTomato » Sun May 04, 2008 2:53 pm

OK so I'm half kidding. The cruise is awesome so far. Hawaii is incredibly beautiful, and the air constantly smells of fresh flowers. The best news is I made weight for the helicopter ride (which I'm waiting for the safety talk in about 5 minutes, so I decided to put this iPhone to use!)...I am SO stoked about this...and a little terrified, too.

Full report on this later. Hope everyone is doing well!

Words fail me. I nearly cried.

Ok, maybe not so nearly.

The word "awesome", in its literal sense, is the best I can do.

MUCH more. When I can.

I HATE YOU!

Okay, only kidding, but it isn't fair. You are there and I am not.

So do you think I am crazy to have ever left Kauai?

The only time I've been on a helicopter was in Kauai. I hear from the other passengers that it was a great experience. I'll have to take their word for it. I was assigned to sit in seat that faced backwards. I don't recommend that. I had already bought my ticket, so my choices were to fly backwards or not at all.

Check out Charo's restaurant at the north end of Kauai, if it's still there. Watch out for Puff the Magic Dragon, who lives by the sea in a land called Hanalei.

no backwards facing seats in this bird. Every seat was great and comfy, and I had the best of 'em. Right up front, against the window. Kauai could be the most beautiful place on earth...it's certainly the most beautiful I've ever seen.

Husband1111 and I ate at Charos's restaurant Is it still there? Nice location.

End of the road at Haena is the most beautiful spot in the world, IMHO.

Enjoy KT.

I am living under a rock! I forgot you were going this soon.

I am thrilled you made weight, I am thrilled you got to see the island from the air. I am thrilled that your trip is fulfilling on your pictures of what the trip could be.
