Teen gives birth, then walks to the hospital

#1 Post by PlacentiaSoccerMom » Sun May 04, 2008 1:17 pm

Xochitl Parra delivered her baby alone at home in the shower on April 30. She then got dressed and "started walking and jogging to the hospital," four blocks away, with the baby still attached by its umbilical cord. Doctors said both she and the boy are doing fine.

I'm happy she didn't dump the kid in the trashcan. We seem to have had a rash of that lately in our metropolitan area.

All you new moms out there--get up and get out in the garden, I tell ya! Ya wusses!

Well, then

How in the world do you hide the fact you're nine months pregnant?
I'm glad they are both OK, but good grief. Apparently no prenatal care whatsoever. I guess we'll be taking care of both of them now, though.

Ok, I didn't include the picture, but I will be less than PC and say that she's a big girl. Her mom and sister are big girls as well.

And her family has stepped up and said they will help her take care of the child so she can complete high school.

That is very good news.

I have a friend who just thought her daughter was gaining weight.

no kidding

She found out she was a grandmother after the baby was born. No prenatal care and the baby was healthy.

She ended up marrying the baby's daddy and having 2 more kids. They are married for 16 years now.
