Sirhan Sirhan gets parole

#1 Post by BackInTex » Fri Aug 27, 2021 3:52 pm

RFK assassin Sirhan Sirhan gets parole on 16th attempt

Initially saw this on Fox but posting a CNN link so it will be believed here, because the story is unbelievable at it's core.
Sirhan Sirhan, the man convicted of assassinating Sen. Robert F. Kennedy in 1968, was granted parole Friday. State prosecutors did not object to his release. The 77-year-old spent 53 years in prison.

Two of Kennedy's surviving sons, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and Douglas Kennedy offered their support for parole during Sirhan's 16th appearance before the parole board Friday.
Still has to be approved by the Governor....whoever that will be.
..what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms.
~~ Thomas Jefferson

War is where the government tells you who the bad guy is.
Revolution is when you decide that for yourself.

Gov. Newsom has rejected the parole board's decision.

Just as well. The sight of Sirhan being celebrated as a hero by anti-Israel extremists would be another blow to the crumbling Middle East peace process.

Sirhan's lawyers intend to appeal the governor's decision. Sirhan has never explicitly admitted his guilt. Instead, he claims that he was drunk at the time and doesn't remember what happened.
