I was going to put this in Mr Kelly's thread-but it belongs by itself.
Just a thought-and not sure I agree with it-so just spitballin' here.
Sometimes things have to be put out of their misery so is it time to basically do that for the Bored?
I, for one, am tempted to go away with a good taste in my mouth from the treasure thread.
Should 11/11 Be the Epitaph for the Bored?

I recognize that I am far more guilty of politics here than most, but I think if we choose to keep the Bored , we need a new iteration where we just don't do politics. I felt dirty for responding to Skoop's question today.
Maybe we can rebuild some relationships and draw some old lurkers back even if the Bored won't be as active for awhile. The new iteration would need time to find its sea legs.

If you look at the Jeopardy Bored, you'll find that all they talk about are game related topics. Strategy and tactics to use, second guessing the previous day's games, how they did on the tests (back when everyone took tests once a year), who gets the call, etc.
That's good for anyone wanting to catch up on an episode they missed, but you don't learn anything about anyone on the Bored. This Bored may have started out that way, but it quickly evolved well past that. I don't want to lose that aspect of this Bored in any reboot or rebrand.

Since WWTBAM is history, what would be the motivation for any BB who has drifted away to come back to a new iteration of the Bored? If you recognize that all the political threads are toxic and pointless, the solution is simple:
Don't feed the trolls. Don't be a troll.*
*With apologies to eyegor, who is what he is.
