So, Auditions or Phone Game?

LOL

Whatever your opinions on that-it is indisputable that the only reason we are still here 20 years on is the power of the Phone Game.

My first audition when I first met SC I had a miserable sinus infection. Probably wasn't the sharpest tack. During the audition they had five of us sit together, answer questions yada.
When asked about a special talent I performed an armpit fart.
Hey! One of the guys wiggled his ears. Please.
I was not chosen.
Well, then

I am still shocked that I was not chosen after my first audition in Chicago. As many here reported at the time-I had the AP's eating out of my hands.

I came here (in its first form) when I found out I had missed the first auditions in Philadelphia. The Phone Game was always second in my mind behind the auditions.

Yeah -I did a rope trick at that same audition. What a dweeb!

After somewhere around my 7th audition one of the AP's quietly told me that, "They had seen me before and I was not going to get picked" It was only after working in TV for several years and being a part of the team that picked who would move forward from all the applicants did I begin to understand.

I was asked during a New York auction for SyndiBAM whether I'd be willing to squash a chipmunk for a $1 million. I said "no" but I'd gladly squash a 20-something Assistant Producer.

Yeah... I made it on the show via the Phone Game.

Phone Game, definitely!

However, I wouldn't have to be stuck in Groundhog Day for too many days before I'd get it right at the Savannah auditions.

If I could've been randomly picked, I would've preferred the phone game.

Had to pass the test over 30 times before I finally got the call. There was someone as a contestant coordinator who for whatever reason would not let me on the show no matter what. Once they moved on from that job, I started getting in the contestant pool. Second time in the pool I got the call.

That person now works on another show, and so no reason for me to even audition for that one because they will keep me from being on.

Phone game most definitely. Of course I only managed to get on because toddrundgren passed through a cell phone dead zone and didn't get the call. Having been through multiple J! auditions and not getting picked I have to assume that I'm not sufficiently telegenic, so the phone game was my only chance.

Oh, Yeah-definitely Phone Game and realistically the only reason this community existed is the Phone Game.

You're right, I never did. I was discussing preferences.

I still feel bad about you not getting on the next year after me.
