“Commander in Chief” 9/11 20 year anniversary speech
WTF? Just a prerecorded message?
..what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms.

As opposed to his most immediate predecessor, whose 9/11 message consisted of bashing Biden for his Afghanistan policy and talking about election fraud. And who then attended a boxing match at which he was a guest commentator.

That’s just part of the story. Biden also visited three memorial sites. In New York, Presidents Obama and Clinton joined him. In Pennsylvania, President Bush gave a memorable speech.

That's just it. Thousands of others visited those sites, too. But they aren't Commander in Chief / Head of State. On such a milestone anniversary the Commander in Chief/Head of State should have addressed the crowds (and nation via the speech being televised). He is a joke.jarnon wrote: ↑Sun Sep 12, 2021 1:53 pmThat’s just part of the story. Biden also visited three memorial sites. In New York, Presidents Obama and Clinton joined him. Besides, Trump is a private citizen. And he is showing he can stay up past 7:00 and do other things. I'm sure Biden was in bed by then.

VP Harris gave a moving address too. I have a feeling Biden is considering being a one-term president and is preparing the nation for a woman of colour at the top of the ticket instead of an old white guy.BackInTex wrote: ↑Sun Sep 12, 2021 3:15 pmThat's just it. Biden was trying to promote a message of national unity by appearing with his predecessors and others from both parties at the various sites. He delivered his comments the day before quite movingly. I don't think that Biden has anything to apologize for in terms of not showing care and sympathy at times of crisis.jarnon wrote: ↑Sun Sep 12, 2021 5:15 pmVP Harris gave a moving address too. Dude, he's only 9 months in. If he didn't want to be president for the full 48 he shouldn't have run. I could see "grooming" beginning of the 4th year, but he's still in his first year.
The attempts to excuse his ineptitude are laughable.

If the worst thing you can call him inept about is not giving a speech on the 9/11 anniversary, then he's doing a pretty good job.

That is true. But it is not the worst thing I can call him inept about. It was probably one of the easiest things he should have done as President, and he screwed it up.silverscreenselect wrote: ↑Sun Sep 12, 2021 7:14 pmIf the worst thing you can call him inept about is not giving a speech on the 9/11 anniversary, then he's doing a pretty good job.
