All packed and headed out (very) early tomorrow...

#1 Post by KillerTomato » Thu May 01, 2008 6:49 pm

...so I won't be around much for the next two weeks.

I will think of you all while I'm in Hawaii....maybe. :-) I will have my computer with me (if for no other reason than because it's a nice big DVD player), so I may check in every once in a while, but not all that much.

My birthday cruising back from Maui to Vancouver, a Blue Hawaii in one hand, a book in the other, and sunscreen all over the place.

Aloha!

Ah, it's just another bunch of islands. Seen one you've seen 'em all!

And I've seen 'em all! And stood on all but one!

So why am I going back in December??? Hmmmm...

Bon voyage!

Let me guess, Niihau?

I thought you said you had been on Kahoolawe.

Where are you going in Dec?

Enjoy your trip KT!

One of the few states I haven't visited.

Ni'ihau is correct. We came very close to going there on a tour back in 2001 but couldn't work it out. You can always go and walk on the beach as you know since all beaches are public but we had learned of a limited number of tours that were authorized by the Robinson family. But it was quite expensive and seemed a bit haphazard so we eventually decided against it. We will get there one day.

Went to Kaho'olawe last summer with the Hawaii Sierra Club (one of the members is Pam's cousin) to help with "revegetation". If they get anything of note to grow there in my lifetime I will be amazed.

This trip is to go back for the holidays and for a surprise 80th birthday party for Pam's mother (Shh, don't tell! ) so we don't have any plans to go anywhere but Oahu this time. Not my favorite island but I will somehow manage!

Hmmm, so how long will you have in Vancouver? If a couple of days, you should hop over to the Island and let me spoil you. I can tour you around Victoria..."we're walkin' here" LOL

Have a great time. Mwah!

Alas, I'll only be in Canuckistan for a couple of hours...

Wish it was more, tho.
