56. This aviator was the first woman to fly solo from London to Australia.
AMELIA EARHART?

Earhardt is a tough name to fit into this game. Might it be Bessie Coleman instead?
Amy Johnson
Looking for people that Amy Johnson could match with, I came across Amy Lowell, who was a Pulitzer Prize winning poet of the Imagist School. Unless there's another Lowell in the unmatched clues, that leaves Thomas Johnson as the other half.
With the dwindling number of clues left, I'm almost positive this match had to be correct. There can't be anyone else whose name can be formed from these clues who goes with Imagism. As for Thomas Johnson, the best known Thomas Johnson was a Supreme Court justice under George Washington who holds the distinction for serving the shortest amount of time. More important, I don't see any other clue that anyone named Thomas Johnson might fit. So,

Amy Lowell goes with Imagism
Thomas Johnson goes with Supreme

10. In one of the most audacious – and pointless – art thefts in modern history, a two-ton bronze statue by this sculptor was lifted by crane from its home in Leeds and allegedly melted down for scrap metal.

Henry Moore

75. This 1980s British pop star and I had something in common: we both won 32,000 dollars/pounds on WWTBAM after getting the 125,000 pound/dollar question wrong.
Some sideways thinking here. As soon as someone with the last name of Moore showed up, I thought of Michael Moore and his film Roger and Me. So I took a guess on who the person with the last name of Michael would be, and everything fell into place.

75. George Michael

Michael Moore goes with Roger.
Henry George goes with Poverty (lookup here as well)

13. At the time of his death, he was ranked the 44th richest person in the world – 42 slots lower than his onetime business partner.
PAUL ALLEN

77. One of the college roommates who co-founded Facebook, he later served as editor-in-chief of the New Republic.
I'm not sure of this matchup. 77 is CHRIS HUGHES. That would form Allen Hughes, the director of Menace II Society.

But I don't see a real good matchup for Chris Paul. He's currently with Phoenix, but that's not the team where he spent most of his career. But I don't see any better associated words for him.
Since we now have a second Phoenix in the Associated Words, I think this is the matchup that works.

Chris Paul goes with Phoenix
Allen Hughes goes with Menace

89. is actually CLARK HOWARD.

That could give us 8. Mark Morris + 89. Clark Howard = Mark Clark and Howard Morris (Caesar), but we might have to claw back General as an associated word again, unless someone has a better idea for Clark.

Part of me thinks it is VERY strange that, in a game involving first names and last names, AND with SPEAKER as an Associated Word, Professor Tangredi wouldn't find room for CARL ALBERT.

Or is that just me.

I mean, there's nothing indicate there's a Carl in here. But I kept looking anyway.

65. Author of tragedies such as The Maid’s Revenge and comedies such as The Lady of Pleasure, his career ended when the Puritans shut down the English theatre.
BEN JONSON?

JAMES SHIRLEY

That would give us Shirley Jackson for Haunting
AND Jesse James with Ford.
