I hate to add to all the bad news today, but Heather apparently had a stroke yesterday. They say it was very mild and she should have no lasting problems, but she's still rather numb on her right side. On top of that, tonight she was unloading the dishwasher and sliced her thumb wide open because she couldn't feel the knife she hit. Of course she bled all over the place because of all the blood thinners they put her on. The way she described it, she probably lost half a unit. So she went back to the ER and got five stitches in her thumb.
Of course she doesn't bother to call dear old dad until he's about to go to bed.
If it's not one thing it's another.
