Lyrically Speaking - 1/23/20

#1 Post by LookingForHumorPoints » Thu Jan 23, 2020 9:55 am

I'm such a funny guy! Like how I convinced Catwoman to climb up on that transformer and knock LB's power out this morning so he.... I mean, I couldn't post the new LS game on time! That's so much more brilliantly hilarious than that phony who's been pretending to be me in the theaters lately! Oh come on, why so serious? Go sit on a whoopie cushion and have a blast enjoying this humorous edition of Theme Thursday I plagiarized from the Batcave! Oh, and no politics are allowed to be mentioned in LFHP's game thread! Anyone caught mentioning Donnies or peaches in this thread will be ambushed by one of the Riddler's smoke bombs! Only I secretly replaced the usual gag smoke with real flatulence crystals from the Penguin's farts! Let's see if anybody notices.... HA! HA! HA!!!!!!

1 point for the title, 1 point for the artist, 3 points for the theme...

1. And your mind, your tiny mind,
you know you've really been so blind.
Now 's your time burn your mind.
You're falling far too far behind.

2. You hear the door slam and realize there's nowhere
left to run
You feel the cold hand and wonder if you'll ever see
the sun

3. Love forever love is free
Let's turn forever you and me
Windmill, windmill for the land
Is everybody in?

4. Do I wanna go out with a lion's roar
Huh, yea, I wanna go south n get me some more
Hey, they say that a stitch in time saves nine
They say I better stop - or I'll go blind

5. There ain't nothin in the world
Like a big eyed girl
That makes me act so funny
Make me spend my money

6. Jumped in the cab, here I am for the first time
Look to my right and I see the Hollywood sign
This is all so crazy, everybody seems so famous

7. I, just get
My heart attached to you when
You hold me in your arms, and squeeze me
And you leave me making me blue

8. I`ve listened to preachers
I`ve listened to fools
I`ve watched all the dropouts
Who make their own rules

9. The wind blew some luck in my direction
I caught it in my hands today
I finally made a tricky French connection
You winked and gave me your o.k.

10. 'Cause the players gonna play, play, play, play, play
And the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate

11. Well he's big and dumb as a man can come
But he's stronger than a country hoss

12. They come to the party
Know what they got
They come to the party
Know what they got

Really off to a rough start this year.
1. And your mind, your tiny mind,
you know you've really been so blind.
Now 's your time burn your mind.
You're falling far too far behind.

2. You hear the door slam and realize there's nowhere
left to run
You feel the cold hand and wonder if you'll ever see
the sun

3. Love forever love is free
Let's turn forever you and me
Windmill, windmill for the land
Is everybody in?

4. Do I wanna go out with a lion's roar
Huh, yea, I wanna go south n get me some more
Hey, they say that a stitch in time saves nine
They say I better stop - or I'll go blind

5. There ain't nothin in the world
Like a big eyed girl
That makes me act so funny
Make me spend my money

6. Jumped in the cab, here I am for the first time
Look to my right and I see the Hollywood sign
This is all so crazy, everybody seems so famous

7. I, just get
My heart attached to you when
You hold me in your arms, and squeeze me
And you leave me making me blue

8. I`ve listened to preachers
I`ve listened to fools
I`ve watched all the dropouts
Who make their own rules

9. The wind blew some luck in my direction

You winked and gave me your o.k.

10. 'Cause the players gonna play, play, play, play, play
And the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate

11. Well he's big and dumb as a man can come
But he's stronger than a country hoss

Bad, Bad, Leroy Brown, Jim Croce

12. They come to the party
Know what they got
They come to the party
Know what they got

Fire - The Crazy World of Arthur Brown (or something like that)

2. You hear the door slam and realize there's nowhere
left to run
You feel the cold hand and wonder if you'll ever see
the sun
Thriller - Michael Jackson

3. Love forever love is free
Let's turn forever you and me
Windmill, windmill for the land
Is everybody in?
Feel Good, Inc. - Gorillaz (I think I've settled on this as my favorite song of the 00's...)

4. Do I wanna go out with a lion's roar
Huh, yea, I wanna go south n get me some more
Hey, they say that a stitch in time saves nine
They say I better stop - or I'll go blind
She Bop - Cyndi Lauper (I think she's denied this song is about masturbation. These four lines can't possibly be about anything else...)

5. There ain't nothin in the world
Like a big eyed girl
That makes me act so funny
Make me spend my money
Chantilly Lace - The Big Bopper (How would history have remembered him had he not gotten sick and wound up on that plane?)

6. Jumped in the cab, here I am for the first time
Look to my right and I see the Hollywood sign
This is all so crazy, everybody seems so famous
Party in the USA - Miley Cyrus (She may have ruined her career with Wrecking Ball, but this song is still adorably cute...)

7. I, just get
My heart attached to you when
You hold me in your arms, and squeeze me
And you leave me making me blue
When I Think of You - Janet Jackson

8. I`ve listened to preachers
I`ve listened to fools
I`ve watched all the dropouts
Who make their own rules
Crazy Train - Ozzy Osbourne

9. The wind blew some luck in my direction
I caught it in my hands today
I finally made a tricky French connection
You winked and gave me your o.k.
Moonlight Feels Right - Starbuck (TBone always mentioning how he hates the laugh in this song is what inspired this game in the first place...)

10. 'Cause the players gonna play, play, play, play, play
And the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate
Shake It Off - Taylor Swift (Another song I love, and I don't care what people think about that...)

11. Well he's big and dumb as a man can come
But he's stronger than a country hoss
You Don't Mess Around With Jim - Jim Croce

12. They come to the party
Know what they got
They come to the party
Know what they got
Hot Hot Hot - Buster Poindexter

Theme? - All of these songs contain some kind of laughing in them! Once again, I suck at estimating how easy a theme will be. This was the one game I had started creating back in the summer, and I had no qualms about making it my first Theme Thursday entry since I was sure it would be a cinch.... especially if I had LFHP and his Joker persona host it. Only four players got the theme...

Image Bonus: If you know the theme, show me a fitting image. - Along with the four theme getters, I gave Vandal accidental credit for his image. I almost gave it to melly as well, but decided on extra JJC points instead. As for the IBB winner.... well, while I normally don't prefer You Tube videos as images, in the case of the evil laughing seagull, it was perfect. So 5 extra points to mrkelley! Bwahahaha....

JJC Points:

Weasel gets a JJC point for keeping it all about the Scorpions (He has only 46 more days to tie Frank's record with Phyllis Diller)....

frank gets 2 JJC points because Speedo Man is always worth a laugh. From a safe distance, of course...

Krox gets a JJC point for hilarious lingerie...

Panic gets a point for a Krox that always makes me laugh...

Sprots gets 2 JJC points for making out at twilight...

TBone gets 2 JJC points for letting a laugh ruin one of the greatest songs of the 70's and for hate, hate, hate, hate, hating Taylor swift before he even met her...

Beebs gets a supermax for resurrecting Ed Gein (has anyone tried that yet?)

melly gets a supermax for confusing Cyndi Lauper with Ricky Martin, and for a squirrel that could be laughing...

mrk gets 3 JJP points for putting the Inc. on the wrong side of the ledger, the laughing seagull, and for making me listen to three minutes-plus of a showtune...

Vandal gets 2 JJC points for accidental poop...

Anon gets 3 JJC points for more people we need to invite to this Bored and for squirrel humor...

Esto gets 3 JJC points for the most eligible bachelor...

Points:

Weasel 17+1
ear 8
frank 12+2

The are the actual words to the Batman theme.

11. Well he's big and dumb as a man can come
