Survivor - Final Analysis (Spoiler)
Foolish move by Jason, I think we can all agree on that. In light of what just happened to Ozzie, how could he be so trusting?
So, here's how it gonna break down from here. Next week, either James or Eric will leave as the girls have decided to get rid of the remaining guys and make this year an all-girls final (as I reported last week). So, if James wins immunity, Eric is gone and vice versa. If neither of them win, James is gone, being perceived as the bigger threat. After that, the other will be gone as soon as he does not win immunity (or find the new immunity idol).
Once the guys are gone, the two remaining Fan girls will be gone as Amanda, Cirie and Parvati will have the numbers to get rid of them and stay with their original alliance. This will bring us to a final three of those three. Amanda will be perceived the same way she was last time - no scruples; just a hanger on. Parvati will be lambasted as the schemer as Ozzie comes back to haunt her and turns everyone against her. Leaving Cirie tol be this year's winner.

The way they are playing up James' injured finger, seems the same as the way they played on Jonathan's injury, so I am thinking he will be medavaced out as well.
I was delighted that James commented at tribal councel that Parvati was the one that voted against Ozzy. She looked shocked that he would out her to Ozzy and Ozzy looked more PO'd than last week.
I agree that Jason was too trusting. If the Idol gets found again, I hope it is next week, Eric finds it, James gets individual, and they vote out Parvati or Natalie. Nasty critters!

Early on I liked Ozzy. But the dude needs to get over it already. Three days later and he still looked pissed. You got outplayed! As if you should ever trust women in the first place...
While the path to the end certainly looks clear cut things often have a way of breaking up as they get near the end. If for example they do knock out another guy this week but the last guy standing manages to win immunity the following week and the women have to vote out one of their own it could break up the happy little harem in a hurry. And if a guy goes on an immunity run, still possible as a women hasn't won yet except when Jason took a dive which was the only time they were even close, then it could further complicate matters.
And apparently the immunity idol goes back into play at least one more time. Presumably the women won't give the guys another crack at it if they get any choice to control that. And if a guy somehow manages to get it there is no way they won't play it immediately!
Is there?
So if one guy wins immunity and the other has the idol it could create even more problems for the girl power alliance. A long shot but possible.
And I must recant. What we saw this week seems to imply that Parvati was a stronger player in the booting of Ozzy than it had seemed to me from the previous week. But I was amused when James outed here! Of course Cirie skates yet again. That girl seems to be teflon.

Amanda seems to be outside of the circle of four..she was not told about the Ozzie coup...can she really trust Parvati? Don't think so. Not unless Parvati sees Natalie as a threat and needs to eliminate her. I think Amanda should've wised Jason up immediately and joined James, Erik and Jason in ousting Parvati. Then knock off Natalie and Cirie. Don't think Amanda has a chance with the girls' club.
I was yelling at the TV last night. Parvati's smug smile and "oh how smart I am" attitude (when basically her strategy this season AND the first season she was on was flirt and flirt some more), Natalie's speechifying about how wickedly clever she was and how delighted she was with her evildoings (and after her little bit about flossing with someone's jugular and how she just points her finger at a guy she wants and says "come here"..well, good luck with getting a guy to come within 50 feet of you after your performance last night)...and then there's Cirie...who basically sits on her ass and does nothing, yet has manipulated much of the backstabbing and betrayals..and noone has figured it out. Then sits at tribal council and is so amused when somebody gets the shaft. If it comes down to those three in the finale. I'm rooting for Ozzie, James and Jason to pick them up and heave them into the fire pit. Oh, I forgot the fourth member of the girls club...mainly because she is so under the radar and do-nothing that I still don't know her name after two and a half months on the air!!!
Sheesh, I need to get a life....

I said that to Lady G as well. She should have made her own play when she had the chance. She could have easily gotten the guys to her side telling them of the plot by the other girls. Since she was not included in the "gang of four" it would have been the smart play. But, sorry to say I don't think she is smart enough to have done that. Now, she has no power with the girls and has to hope that Cirie and Parvati will take her to the final three. I do think that will happen, though. And, we also said the same thing about Natalie. Why on earth would you portray yourself like that. While it may very well be true, would you go out with a girl who as much stated that she would stab you in the back at first chance? Uh, let me see... Sharp stick in the eye or....T_Bone0806 wrote:Amanda seems to be outside of the circle of four..she was not told about the Ozzie coup...can she really trust Parvati? Don't think so. I doubt it will have much impact on her "dating" life. May well improve it! Lets face it, it is a sick world out there when Paris Hilton is a "celebrity"...Sir_Galahad wrote:I said that to Lady G as well. She should have made her own play when she had the chance. It was all quite theatrical of course but I suspect that more than a little of her act was just that. It is a game and it is difficult in my mind to draw any real conclusions about the real personality of anyone after they have been in isolation with a bunch of other people and in front of cameras for several weeks. Throw in the fact that Natalie is most likely a wanna be actress and it is nearly impossible to me to decipher what is real about a person and what is show. I think she was trying to make herself as memorable as possible to get her shot at those 15 minutes.
Indeed, all the remaining young women live in the LA area. I don't think that is a coincidence...

Well, yeah, of course everything is played up for the cameras..i am 100% sure that they are told to exaggerate everything in their "confessionals"..I am just falling into the manipulative trap of the show's producers like other viewers. The fact that, at every reunion show at the end of the season they all hug and smile and are all buddy-buddy shows that it's a game and certain elements are revved up for dramatic effect. Just points out how much of a horse's ass Jonny Fairplay must've been in reality, because even at the reunion show that season nobody wanted anything to do with him, even Probst.tanstaafl2 wrote:Sir_Galahad wrote:T_Bone0806 wrote: It was all quite theatrical of course but I suspect that more than a little of her act was just that. But knowing all this doesn't stop most of us from bitching at the screen anyway. I always knew that Pro Wrestling was staged, but that never stopped me from yelling at the characters now and then. Just escapist TV, I guess.

I think Amanda did think about it and decided that Jason was too stupid and naive to trust. If she told Jason about Nat's plan, Jason would have ran back and told Nat and Amanda didn't want to take that chance. Why would Jason trust Amanda who voted for him last week over Nat who didn't vote for him last week and did appear to be totally helping him this week. Plus Nat and Jason are still "fans".Sir_Galahad wrote: I said that to Lady G as well. She should have made her own play when she had the chance. Jason was completely expendable because Amanda is in a better position this week with 7. All she has to do is gather James and Erik and go tell Cirie about Parvati's double deal that she has with the two fan girls. Then the 4 of them could take out one of those three. Assuming that James' finger does not eliminate him from the game.
Or possibly she knows she probably can't beat James in the final vote and wouldn't mind seeing him on the jury since that would be two near guaranteed votes for her (along with Ozzie's) if she rides out her alliance with Parvati and Cirie.

I was so surprised that Jason was so naive 3 weeks in a row. But after meeting him, he truly is that innocent. I'm really surprised that the guys didn't tell Jason what was up and try to move one of the girls over to the other side with them. They had a chance to make a group with Amanda who's on the outs anyway.
Anyway, Jason is on the mend after licking his wounds since October. He's young and resilient.
