RIP D.C. Fontana

This name is familiar to any Star Trek fan. Writer of the "Journey to Babel" episode on the original series, "Yesteryear" for the animated series, and the two-part pilot for The Next Generation, "Encounter at Farpoint." Age 80.

She was also a producer and, IMHO, did more for Star Trek than Gene Roddenberry.

She was a pillar of the Star Trek universe, an amazing talent.
