I took a look at the UCLA-Washington State score around halftime. WSU had already built up most of a 32-point lead. When I finally had the chance to look at the final, I thought my site had accidentally posted a basketball score.
But no. For the second time in three years, UCLA overcame a deficit of more than 30 points to win the game, this time on the road. WSU's quarterback threw a school-record 9 touchdown passes, but that's gotta be cold consolation for a game the Bruins won 67-63 after trailing in the third quarter 49-17.
This still isn't going to be a good season for the Bruins. But at least it might be an entertaining one. --Bob
